As a result of the Miami Heat’s recent 24-game winning streak, many people have failed to take notice of the remarkable streak that the Nuggets are on. Denver has won a franchise-record, 13 games in a row. The Nuggets use their speed and athleticism as ways to wear down their opponents. Denver seems to attack the basket at will and knock down a barrage of three-pointers on a constant basis during the course of a game. Ty Lawson and Andre Miller are the floor generals that set that lightning-quick tempo and can also score some baskets if necessary. The inside presence of Kenneth Faried A.K.A. “The Manimal” and JaVale McGee have opposing players afraid of getting their shots blocked and getting outhustled for every rebound. The shooting ability and versatility of Danilo Gallinari and the emergence of Kosta Koufos has given the Nuggets even more weapons in their arsenal. A key reason that Denver’s offense is so potent is the fact that the bench can put up points in bunches. Corey Brewer and Wilson Chandler are two players that provide instant offense in a variety of ways for Denver. The Nuggets(47-22) are currently tied for third place in the Western Conference standings with the Grizzlies and the Clippers. If Denver continues to perform high-flying dunks and hit three-point daggers, I’m sure that they will have no problem with staying on this amazing winning-streak. I guess that you could say that the Denver Nuggets are the “Miami Heat of the West”!
