On April, 6 2013, the Final 4 is set to begin in Atlanta. Fans in Philips Arena should expect to be marveled as the teams look to put on a show. The first game on Saturday will be the Wichita State Shockers vs. the Louisville Cardinals. Louisville is coming off of a 85-63 win over Duke. Louisville was inspired by the injury of teammate Kevin Ware, who broke his leg in the first half. Ware is from Georgia and the Cardinals look to honor him by taking the championship home. Wichita State has other plans. The Shockers are hoping to defeat the Cardinals and make it to the championship. It would not be surprising if Wichita State won because they have been upsetting teams during the entire tournament.
The next matchup on Saturday’s slate is Syracuse vs. Michigan. Michigan has been on fire and have drawn comparisons to the Fab Five of the early 1990’s. Syracuse has been fueled by their impenetrable zone defense and a consistent offensive attack. The matchup to look at is Trey Burke vs. Michael-Carter Williams. These two point guards have been tremendous during the tournament because of their scoring abilities and exceptional distribution instincts.
These two games are going to be very entertaining for fans around the country. Wichita State is a major threat to Louisville but as always, the Cardinals are playing with a chip on their shoulder. Michigan and Syracuse are two very deeply talented teams that are trying to prove who is better. Will Wichita State “shock” Louisville? Who will play better between Michael Carter-Williams and Trey Burke? The only way to find out is to tune into CBS on Saturday for hours of basketball action!
