Too Hot to Handle

Carmelo Anthony has been nothing short of dominant lately. The Knicks superstar is absolutely on fire and is giving the defense a multitude of problems. Of course everyone knows Carmelo is a tough player to defend but in the last nine games, Carmelo is averaging 31.4 points per game. He has been torching any and everyone that dares to matchup with him. Another thing that Carmelo uses to his advantage is to get off to a fast start in the first quarter of the game. He is averaging 9.0 points in the first quarter, which is the highest in the entire NBA.  In the last two games, Carmelo is averaging 45.0 points per game. Yes, you read that correctly, 45 points! On Tuesday, April 2, Carmelo brought the “heat” to Miami by scoring a jaw-dropping 50 points and the Knicks went on to beat the Heat 102-90. Yesterday, the Knicks traveled to Atlanta to take on the Hawks. Carmelo put on another dazzling performance in which he dropped in 40 points, while leading the Knicks to a 95-82 victory against the Hawks. The Knicks won their tenth straight game last night and a big reason for that is the stellar play of Mr. Anthony. Carmelo Anthony is shooting 66% from the field in the past 2 games and he is undoubtedly the hottest man in the NBA right now. At 6’8″, 230 lbs with a bevy of post and perimeter moves, Carmelo is a big, big, problem!
