Baltimore Slugger

Often overshadowed in Texas by hitters such as Josh Hamilton, Adrian Beltre and Nelson Cruz, Chris Davis has found a home in Baltimore. Last year, Davis hit 33 home runs and drove in 85 runs in his first season as an Oriole. Davis is picking up where he left off from last season. In 2013, Davis has hit a home run in each of the 4 games that the Orioles have played. As a matter of fact, Davis clobbered a grand-slam to give the Orioles a 9-5 win over the Twins last night. This guy is on fire and it seems like he is smacking the ball at will! Chris Davis has always been known as a power hitter but his numbers were not always there as a Texas Ranger. Fortunately, Davis has found his niche in Baltimore and is climbing his way to stardom. Davis is on a record-setting pace in 2013. He has already crushed 4 bombs(home runs) and has driven in 16 runs. Now, may I remind you that the man has only played 4 games and has a month’s worth of stats! Many people have great starts to a season but this is just amazing. Fans of the Orioles probably go to the game and expect Davis to hit a home run in their direction. Pitchers really need to get some scouting reports on this guy and I mean fast! At 27 years old, Chris Davis is a seasoned ball player that has seemingly worked hard to become a pretty good hitter. As of now, Davis is hitting .600 and has an OBP of .611, which means he is not just clubbing home runs, but is also getting on base. The Orioles are set to take on the Twins at 7:05 tonight, so have your eyes set on #19 because he might attempt to hit one out of Camden Yards!
